2005 Prem1er series Round 2 - Builth Wells - May 14

the NPS course
Elite start

A dry race day in wales at last, brilliant. The elites shot off at a mental pace with Oli Beckinsale showing he is in superb form by blitzing the field easily.

The Premier Mountain Bike Series rolled into Builth Wells. Builth's John Lloyd had been busy reinstating the challenging 5 mile NPS course and the Circuit used the complete Downhill course as part of the route. Together with 2 large climbs and miles of twisty singletrack - this was tough ( to tough for JP for sure )
The event base was at the very nicefforestfields campsite, great for riding in the area.

Full results will be up at http://www.xcracer.com/ while your there check out all the other XC racing chat and forums, a resource the racing community could do well to embrace.

£250 was on offer for short track with a free entry, so sharpen up those elbows for Thetford's round.
Adi's sedate start
Adi and Matt Barratt played in the Lions den once more, a punishing 6 laps of a wicked climbing and Technical course.
The final descent used the downhill made for the 2000 national championships at Builth, how courses and bikes have evolved since then. Both finished, the distance though.
